ILEAD

Inclusive Leadership in Equity, Allyship and Diversity (ILEAD) is a collaborative initiative that began in the 2022 spring semester. The program was developed in the Equity and Inclusion Subcommittee (Staff Advisory Committee) in the College of Engineering during the fall semester of 2021. The ILEAD program was designed for College of Engineering staff, faculty, and campus partners to build intentional knowledge and skills to contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment. By completing workshops, participants will earn digital badges demonstrating their commitment to acting as leaders for diversity, equity, inclusion and allyship.

Courses and Credentials

Our ILEAD short courses are designed with you in mind. You will be able to advance your knowledge and understanding in these critical areas, by participating in 60-minute, synchronous Zoom presentations with campus partners, college staff and faculty.

To achieve ILEAD series completion, you will need to complete one required course (Foundations of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) and three elective courses. You can also take individual courses without working toward series completion. You will receive a digital badge for each completed course. If you complete the ILEAD series, you will be recognized at the College of Engineering Annual Staff Awards Ceremony and Reception.

What is a Digital Badge?

A digital badge is a highly shareable micro-credential that you can add to your LinkedIn profile as a certification, include in email signatures, or share on professional websites, digital résumés, and portfolios.

How Does it Work?

For each course you complete, we will issue you a badge. If you complete the one required course (Foundations for Diversity and Inclusion) and three elective courses, we will issue you a program completion certificate and you will be recognized at the Annual Staff Awards Ceremony and Reception.
